Accused in Kodigehalli robbery case succumbs to bullet injury in Gwalior hospital

BENGALURU: One of the accused in the robbery at a jewellery store at Kodigehalli who had sustained a gunshot wound, died in a hospital in Gwalior, Madhya Pradesh.

On March 14, a group of four attempted to rob Lakshmi Bankers and Jewellers in Kodigehalli. The armed group of robbers had even opened fire at the store owner and his assistant. One of the bullets bullets fired by Ashu Pandit, one of the robbers, had grazed Suraj in the neck. The gang had escaped with the injured as a crowd began to gather there.

The gang of robbers went to Anantapur in Andhra Pradesh and escaped by train to Gwalior in Madhya Pradesh. Later, Suraj’s associates admitted him to a Gwalior hospital. But Suraj died without responding to the treatment.

The Kodigehalli police have arrested the other three accused in connection with the case.
