BENGALURU: A man vandalised and broke the doors of St Pius X Church at St Thomas Town in Kammanahalli in the city. The accused Tom Mathew (29) damaged some articles inside the church.
The accused entered the church after breaking the door with a hammer. Later, he vandalised several articles kept in the church.
Later, a Hoysala patrol squad police found Mathew around 4.30 am and detained him. It is learnt that Mathew was suffering from mental depression and had committed the act in a drunken state. A case has been registered at the Banasawadi police station in this regard.
