Fire destroys hundreds of acres of Charmadi Ghat forest near Mudigere

CHIKKAMAGALUR: A massive forest fire has burnt down hundreds of acres of the Charmadi Ghat forest near the Annappaswamy temple close to Kottigehara in Mudigere taluk.

The fire has destroyed swathes of shola forest and is expected to have damage to animal life also. The Forest Department staff and locals have been making all efforts to douse the forest fire.
