BCom student leaves home, parent lodge missing person’s complaint with Kodigehalli police

BENGALURU: A BCom student has left home after leaving behind a note in which he said he is leaving the world of unrighteousness (the world of lies) (selfish world) and going in search of truth. They boy claimed he is the son of Vishnu and asked people not to look for him.

The student is Mohit Rishi, the son of Arjun Kumar, a resident of Vidyaranyapura. He was studying BCom at BEL College. He left his mobile phone at home and disappeared around 4 am on January 16.

In the note, Mohit wrote, “I am leaving this world of lies to search for the truth. I am the son of Lord Vishnu; don’t look for me”. His parents have lodged a missing person complaint at the Kodigehalli police station.

The police are investigating the case and are checking CCTV footage to trace Mohit’s whereabouts. It is suspected that Mohit may have traveled to Prayagraj in Uttar Pradesh, where the Maha Kumbh Mela is currently taking place.

Mohit’s parents have also appealed to the public to share any information about their son’s whereabouts on social media.
