Two boys missing from Bengaluru’s Jayanagar since Saturday, police launch hunt

BENGALURU: Two boys, studying in Classes 7 and 9, who were playing near their house in Jayanagar 3rd Block, have been reported missing since last Saturday. A complaint has been lodged at the Tilak Nagar police station and efforts are on to trace the missing boys.

Praveen the son of Vidyashree and Mahesh, is a Class 7 student, while Ravi is studing in Class 9 at the MES School in Jayanagar. On January 18, Praveen had skipped school as he was not keeping well while Ravi had attended classes. In the evening, the boys went to a shop to purchase some items for a school project and returned home.

A case was registerd at the Tilak Nagar police station.

According to Praveen’s grandmother Shivamma, the boys went towards a bus stop for 10 minutes and were last seen on a CCTV camera. On Thursday morning, Praveen’s parents headed to Male Mahadeshwara Hills to pray for the safe return of their son.

Praveen’s parents, who hail from Ballari, said though they lodged a complaint with the Tilak Nagar police, their son hasn’t been traced. They also expressed anxiety stating that earlier too, children had gone missing from their locality.
