Vaikunta Ekadasi celebrated across Karnataka

BENGALURU: Devotees celebrated Vaikunta Ekadasi with all devotion and grand fervour in Bengaluru and all across the state. Thousands of devotees flocked to various temples in Bengaluru and other cities on the occasion of Vaikunta Ekadashi right from early morning.

In Bengaluru, the Kote Venkataramana Swamy Temple, Tirumalagiri Lakshmi Venkateshwara Swamy Temple and ISKCON Temple witnessed huge crowds.

  Special pujas, abhisheka and mangalartis were performed to Lord Venkaramana at ISKCON. The temple authorities have made arrangements for devotees to have darshan till 11 pm today. It’s expected that over 1.5 lakh devotees will visit the temple today.

ISKCON spokesperson Chaitanya Das said, “The day began with suprabhata seva at 3 am, followed by mahabhishekam at 3.30 am. Later, ‘laksha archana’ was performed and Srinivas Kalyanotsav will take place”.

In addition to ISKCON, other temples like Mallikarjuna Swamy Temple in Malleswaram and Sri Venkateshwara Swamy Temple in Nelamangala also conducted special pujas, abhishekas and mahamangalarathis. After the puja, prasada, including Pongal and laddus were distributed at temples.

Devotees thronged these temples, chanting the Lord’s name and seeking his blessings.
