BALLARI: The Ballari police have arrested two men who cheated an individual by selling him fake gold coins for Rs 3 lakh. The police have recovered Rs 2.30 lakh from them. The accused, Venkatesh (45) and Shivakumar (25), are from Sandur.
The accused had given fake gold coins to Chintala Komurayya from Hyderabad and taken Rs 3 lakh from him. Folowing the incident, Chintala Komurayya had filed a complaint at the Cowl Bazaar police station, stating that he was cheated by the accused.
The police registered a case, arrested two accused, and have taken up further investigation.
