BENGALURU: Thieves took advantage of the incessant rainfall on Monday night and committed theft at three temples at Geratiganabele village in Anejal taluk on the outskirts of Bengaluru.
The temples targeted were the Sri Renuka Yellamma temple and Kaveramma temple in Geratiganabele and the Anjaneya temple at Kempatti village in neighbouring Tamil Nadu.
The thieves broke the doors of the temples using a sharp tool. They stole silver and gold ornaments, including a silver crown and a gold thali, as well as the hundis (donation boxes) from the three temples.
The police are investigating the case, which falls under the jurisdiction of the Anekal police station.
