Angry villagers staged a protest and blocked the road claiming that unscientific road work had been carried out and raised slogans against the tahsildar. They also demanded immediate compensation to the parents of the boy.

The police had a tough time convincing the villages to clear the road and allow for traffic. The Santapura police have registered a case in connection with the accident and taken up further investigation.
