‘Need to build strong party base’: Parmeshwara announces new Congress office in in Mysuru

MYSURU: Home Minister G Parameshwara on Friday said that the political situation in Karnataka could change at any time and added that he wanted the construction of a Congress office in Mysuru.

Parameshwara said “Looking at the political developments, nothing can be said. As our government is in place, we have to complete the laying of the foundation stone. Many times, I had convinced the Chief Minister to build a Congress office in Mysuru as soon as possible. It is necessary to build a strong party base in Mysuru and Chamarajanagar. After a long time, Siddaramaiah has promised to allot Rs 15 crore. I don’t know what will happen next”.

Further, he said that he fought a lot to get the construction place for the Congress office in Mysuru. “I fought a lot to get a place for the construction of the Congress office in Mysuru. I had many meetings with Chandraprabha Urs, Tanveer Sait and other committee members. Now, the CM agreed and we are going to build the Congress office soon at a cost of Rs 15 crore”, the Home Minister said. (ANI)
