Man found brutally murdered by roadside near Attibele, moped found close by

The semi-naked body of Alagaraj was found by the roadside.

BENGALURU: A vanaspathi trader was found brutally murdered, with his head slit with sharp weapons, near Sharavathi Bar in Ballur under Attibele police limits on the outskirts of the city on Thursday. The deceased was identified as Alagaraj (31), hailing from Madurai in Tamil Nadu.

Alagaraj’s moped and a tin of vanaspathi was found close by.

Ragpickers first noticed the body lying in thickets by the roadside and informed the police. The victim’s moped along with a tin of vanaspathi in a bag was also found close by. The body was found in a semi-naked state.

It is suspected that Alagaraj may have been murdered due to previous enmity. The dog squad Scene of Crime Officers (SOCO) and forensic experts have rushed to the spot. The Attibele police have registered a case and taken up further investigation.
