100-year-old vintage car catches fire after participating in rally

The car was on its way back to Bengaluru after participating in a rally.

BALLARI: A car of 100 years vintage caught fire due to an electrical short circuit, near Rayakere in Hosapete taluk on Sunday evening. Luckily, there was no loss of life.

The car had participated in a vintage car rally organised in the district and was on the way back to Bengaluru when it caught fire. The rally had been organised to promote tourism in the district and about 20 cars from Bengaluru which are 100 years old had taken part.

The Fire and Emergency Services personnel rushed to the spot and put out the blaze.
