FIR registered against 4 after woman complains of rape, threat to life

BENGALURU: A 21-year-old woman has lodged a complaint at the police commissioner’s office against four people alleging rape, human trafficking and threat to life after an FIR was filed against them at the KG Halli police station on September 24.

As per the FIR, the victim claims that she was raped by Saklain Ahammed when she was 16 years old and threatened of life by Saklain and his mother Ayesha Ahammed, and their two relatives Safan Ahammed and Sanaullah. She also said that she gave birth to a male child at a hospital in Shivajinagar in May 2021 and that she tried to escape with the child from Saklain’s house, but was not allowed.

On April 18 this year, the victim said he left the house but is now not being allowed to take the child. She said Saklain and his family had threatened to kill her is she came for the child again. Based on her complaint, a case under the POCSO act and for rape has been registered against Saklain Ahammed, his mother Ayesha Ahammed, and their two relatives Safan Ahammed and Sanaullah.

Meanwhile, Ayesha has claimed that they did a mistake by accepting the orphaned girl as their daughter-in-law. She claimed that the victim had fallen in love with her son and had tricked him. Ayesha said her son wants a divorce from the woman, but has not lodged any formal complaint yet.
