Police raid rave party in Mysuru, detain 50 youths

MYSURU: The police raided a late-night rave party on the outskirts of Mysuru on Saturday and detained over 50 youths.

The police took action upon receiving information about the party. Additional SP Nagesh and DySP Karim led the operation. It was alleged that some youths even assaulted the police during the raid.

According to SP Vishnuvardhan, no drugs or intoxicants were found at the party, but liquor and cigarettes were seized. A Forensic Sciences Laboratory (FSL) team also visited the place to collect evidence. Blood samples from all attendees have been collected for testing. “Once the report comes, I will get clarification about this”, the SP said.

Around 150 youths, including a rapper from Israel, were attending the party for which an entry fee of Rs 2,000 per person was charged. The police action led to chaos and some of the youths fled the scene.
