3 dead, one seriously injured after truck runs over motorcycle near Ramanagara

The truck ran over the motorcycle, killing three men and injuring one.

RAMANAGARA: Three people died and one person was seriously injured after the motorcycle they were travelling on was run over by a truck on the service road of the Bengaluru-Mysuru highway near Mayaganahalli on Friday.

The deceased are Gurumurthy (39), Sheik Asif (45) and Venkatesh (50) while the injured in Hanumantha. He was shifted to the district hospital for treatment. It is said that they were heading for masonry work when the accident occurred.

Footage from CCTV shows the truck running over the four men who were sitting on the motorcycle in front of the petrol bunk.

The bike riders were heading from Ramanagara towards Bidadi while the truck was exiting the Mayaganahalli petrol bunk. Visuals from CCTV footage shows the men seated on the motorcycle in front of the petrol bunk and the truck running over them. Additional SP Suresh visited the spot and a case has been registered at the Ramanagara traffic police station. The truck driver has also been arrested.
