RAICHUR: Jailed actor Darshan Thoogudeepa’s wife Vijayalakshmi visited Mantralaya today morning and sought blessings for wellbeing of her husband. Darshan is currently lodged in the Ballari jail in the Renukaswamy murder case.
Vijayalakshmi and Darshan’s brother Dinakar visited the Mantralaya temple like regualar devotees and performed special puja. They came to the temple town on Thursday night and stayed overnight. This morning, they performed padapuja to Raghavendra Swamy and Prahladaraja. There is a belief that performing padapuja to Prahladaraja will bring good fortune.
Vijayalakshmi prayed to Raghavendra Swamy to alleviate the hardships faced by her husband Darshan. She visited the temple like a regular devotee, obtained a seva ticket and had darshan. She did not inform the temple authorities about her visit and left after the puja. She then traveled to Ballari.
