BIDAR: Four members of a family from Bidar died in a road accident near Haima in Oman three days ago. The deceased were identified as Pavankumar Tahsildar, Pooja Mayappa, Vijaya Mayappa, Adishesh Basavaraj.
The four were burnt alive when the car in which they were travelling collided head-on with a truck. The dead include a woman, her two children and son-in-law. The family was returning to Nizwa after visiting Salalah when the accident occurred. Adishesh was a resident of Nizwa while the three others were visiting Oman, according to local media reports.
Rajya Sabha member Eranna Karadi is making efforts get the remains of the deceased back to their hometown and has been in touch with External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar and Union Minister of Consumer Affairs, Food and Public Distribution & New and Renewable Energy, Pralhad Joshi.
