Aged woman attacked by stray dogs on IAF campus in Jalahalli, dies of injuries

BENGALURU: An elderly woman died after she was attacked by a pack of 8-10 stray dogs while on a walk at the Indian Air Force (IAF) campus at M S Palya, Jalahalli, on Wednesday morning. The deceased was identified as Rajdulari Sinha (76), a retired teacher.

According to the deceased woman’s daughter, the dogs suddenly pounced on Rajdulari and had chewed on her head, face, arms, neck an legs. Rajdulari was shifted to a hospital, but did not survive the grievous injuries.

The woman was rushed to hospital, but did not survive the vicious attack.

Rajdulari hailed from Bihar and was visiting her daughter and son-in-law who is in the IAF. The daughter said, “My mother would go on morning walks every day, but today, about 8-10 dogs attacked her. The dogs targeted only my mother”.

Following the incident, volunteers of an NGO arrived on the campus and were engaged in catching the stray dogs.
