CHIKKAMAGALUR: A bandh call has been given in Sringeri Assembly constituency, including Sringeri, Koppa and NR Pura taluks, on August 17 in protest against the ‘anti-people’ policies of the state government.
The bandh call has been given by the Malnad Hitarakshana Samiti and the Malnad Nagarika Raitha Hitarakshana Samiti in protest against eviction of encroachments and ‘anti-farmer policies’ of the state government.
The organisers will take out a rally to protest against the eviction being carried out by the Forest and Revenue Departments and a convention will be held at Koppa.
