RAICHUR: Members of the Muslim community staged a protest by blocking the highway late on Tuesday night after broken beer bottles were found thrown inside a mosque near the bus stand at Sirwar town in the district.
The police have arrested seven people, including one Veeresh, and registered a case. Strict security arrangements were made around the mosque and across the town following the incident. Police Superintendent M Puttamadaiah also visited the spot.
