KALABURAGI: Two men lost their lives while attempting to save the wife of one of them from committing suicide, near the Devanagaon bridge in Afzalpur taluk on Tuesday. Their bodies were fished out from the Bhima river by the Fire and Emergency Services personnel on Wednesday morning.
The woman, Lakshmi, attempted suicide by jumping off the Devanagaon bridge into the Bhima river over some domestic dispute. However, her husband Shivu and another relative jumped into the water to save her, but drowned and died. The woman was saved by some fishermen.
