One arrested for attempting to convert Mantralaya devotees to Islam

BALLARI: A youth was arrested for allegedly trying to forcibly convert two others to Islam while they were on a pilgrimage to Mantralaya. Another accused is adbsonding. The incident took place on July 18 in Tekkalakote town Siriguppa taluk of Ballari district.

Gadilingappa of Thekkalakote filed a complaint alleging that the youths were preaching Islam to other youths. According to the Gadilingappa, the two men stopped young devotees those who were marching on foot to Mantralaya carrying a saffron flag, and were trying to convert them to Islam.

A case has been registered under BNS Section 295A. On the basis of the video, the police registered a complaint of conversion attempt.
