HASSAN: A medical student succumbed to dengue at a private hospital here on Thursday night. The deceased is Kushal (22), who hailed from Gohalli village in Holenarsipur taluk.
Kushal was undergoing treatment at home, but when his condition did not improve, he was shifted to a hospital four days ago. However, he did not respond to the treatment and died.
Kushal was studying MBBS at the Hassan Institute of Medical Sciences (HIMS) and College. His mother Rekha, a tailor, is undergoing treatment for suspected dengue in the same hospital where he was admitted. His father Manjunath is a teacher.
