HAVERI: Four people died and three were injured when the car they were travelling crashed into a roadside tree after the driver lost control on the outskirts of Shiggaon on Saturday.
While Neelappa Moolimani (28) and Sudeep Koti (18) died on the spot, Kalmesh Manoji (26) and Shivanagouda Yellanagoudru (20) died without responding to treatment KIMS hospital in Hubballi. There were seven people in the car, including the driver. The injured were first shifted to the Shiggaon taluk government hospital by the police and firemen.
The car was on its way from Bevinahalli in Savanur taluk to Nandagarh when the accident occurred. The Shiggaon police visited the spot and have registered a case.
