SHIVAMOGGA: The driver of a tractor, who got trapped against its rear wheel after it fell into a roadside ditch, was rescued by locals with the help of excavators near Kudligere in Bhadravathi taluk on Sunday.
Prashant was driving the tractor carrying mud when he lost control and the tractor fell into a roadside ditch a few feet below. Prashant got trapped against the rear wheel and the ditch wall making it impossible for him to extricate himself.
Locals quickly summoned two excavators to lift the capsized tractor just enough for others to pull out the tractor driver. Prashant was later rushed to a hospital in Bhadravathi for treatment of injuries.
