Youths brazenly pop wheelies even on highways.

BENGALURU: The Hebbagodi police have arrested one person and are on the lookout for a few others who popped wheelies on the Bengaluru-Chennai highway for a distance of 8 km between Chandapura and Electronics City and teased a girl. The arrested is Mohammed Sufiyan a.k.a Khaja of Subash Nagar.

Mohammed Sufiyan was arrested by the Hebbagodi police.

The youths created nuisance on the highway popping wheelies all along and teasing a girl. On receiving information, Bengaluru Rural SP Mallikarjun Baladandi formed a special police team which scanned CCTV footage and arrested Mohammed Sufiyan. They are questioning him about the other accused, Rohit of Koramangala, Sumit and two others.

Meanwhile, another groups of youths were spotted popping wheelies on National Highway-75 near Yentaganahalli in Nelamangala taluk.

The youths, on 4-5 two-wheelers were popping wheelies even as other vehicles were moving on the busy road. Their act was filmed by some motorists who were passing by in a car.

Locals said youths popping wheelies is increasing especially on weekends and demanded that the police launch a crackdown.
