BENGALURU: The city police on Sunday conducted an inspection at the residence of Pavithra Gowda, who is prime accused in Renukaswamy’s murder, in the presence of another accused, Pawan. Pawan is a housekeeper and lives on the ground floor of Pavithra’s house.
The police brought the accused from Annapoorneshwari Nagar police station to her RR Nagar residence. Additional police security was deployed near Pavithra’s house.
On the day of Renukaswamy’s murder, Pavithra Gowda came straight to her residence from the Pattanagere shed. Kamakshipalya police arrested Pavithra Gowda’s manager, Devaraj, from Mysuru, who was with her on the day of the murder.
The police seized clothes and footwear worn by Pavithra Gowda during the murder. They also seized a shawl as they found blood stains on it.
According to police sources, Pavithra Gowda also assaulted Renukaswamy with her footwear before his murder. The police and forensic science laboratory team conducted an inspection for three hours, collected fingerprints and recovered CCTV footage from the house.
Pavitra Gowda has been living in a three-floor duplex house in RR Nagar for the past 10 years and Pawan was taking care of the per dog. Darshan would often visit her at her house in a Toyota Fortuner SUV. But Pavithra had not maintained any contact with the neighbours. The neighbours assumed that Darshan’s wife Vijayalakshmi was living in that house as they saw him at the house many times. Pavithra used to drive around in a Volkswagen car and a Range Rover. Her daughter is staying at a hostel.
