BENGALURU: The Central Crime Branch (CCB) police last week arrested four illegal Bangladeshi immigrants staying Bismillah Nagar on Bannerghatta Road under Suddaguntepalya police limits. To their shock, they found that the Bangladeshi intruders were in possession of Indian passports and several other important documents.
Based on specific information, the police had arrested Mubarak, Muneer, Hussain and Naeem. The police found that they were in possession of Aadhaar, ration, Ayushman and voter cards, caste certificate, fake rental agreement and address proof. After the arrest, the accused were handed over to the Suddaguntepalya police.
Now, the CCB police have learnt that there are hundreds of illegal Bangladeshi immigrants and suspect an organised gang behind creating the fake documents. City Police Commissioner B Dayananda is seriously considering handing over the entire investigation to the CCB, sources said.
