BENGALURU: With the number of Covid-positive cases increasing in the state, parents are concerned about the health of their children, especially since the younger one are unvaccinated. Though wearing of masks has not been made mandatory at present, parents are playing it safe and sending their children to school with masks.
The Health Department has not imposed any rules for schoolchildren so far, but strict precautions have been taken everywhere. However, many private schools have already issued Covid-19 guidelines and it has been seen that most of the children are wearing masks while coming to school.
Many schools are also organising Covid-19 awareness programmes to sensitise schoolchildren. The school authorities feel that precautionary measures are essential as children are not vaccinated and have low immunity.
