BELAGAVI: A woman hailing from Dharwad, who is married to a techie based in Sydney, Australia, was found dead in the backwaters of the Malaprabha river at Goravanakolla in Savadatti taluk.
Priyadarshini Lingaraj Patil (40) had returned to the state only on August 18. It is said that she was upset over her son Amartya’s ill health and hence, committed suicide.
The Savadatti police fished out the body and sent it for postmortem examination. A case has been registered in this connection.
