RAMANAGARA: A major accident was averted on the Bengaluru-Mysuru 10-lane expressway on Wednesday afternoon when a container truck jumped the median, crossed the other carriageway and came to a halt on the service road after hitting the steel trusses of a large signboard on the road.
The incident occurred around 1 pm on Wednesday near Sankalagere Gate in Channapatna taluk and was captured on CCTV camera. Luckily, there were no vehicles moving on the expressway at that time.
Meanwhile, a Twitter user shared a dashcam video of an autorickshaw cutting across the expressway on the wrong side and tagged ADGP (traffic and road safety) Alok Kumar and the Ramanagar SP.
