MANDYA: Newly-wed couple Abhishek Ambareesh and Aviva Bidapa are all set to host a post-wedding feast (beegara oota) at Gejjalagere in Maddur taluk on Friday, June 16.
A 15-acre plot has been chosen as the venue and there will be separate sections for VIPs and the common people. A huge German tent is being put up for the occasion and about 50,000 people are expected to attend the feast. Arrangements are also being made for visitors to bless the couple.
The feast will be in Mandya style, which late actor and politician Ambareesh liked. Food will be served from 11 am on Friday and the menu will include ragi mudde (ragi balls), curry, two chicken dishes, mutton khaima, eggs, ghee rice, plain rice, sambar and buttermilk topped off with plaintain, paan beeda and Nandini ice cream.
Film producer Rockline Venkatesh is overseeing the arrangements to ensure that the guest, including from the movie and political fields are not inconvenienced. Abhishek Ambarish has requested fans and guests not to bring any cakes or bouquets and to only bless the couple.
