BENGALURU: In a relief for Deputy Chief Minister D K Shivakumar, the Karnataka High Court has extended the stay on the CBI investigation against him. A single-judge bench on Friday referred the matter to Chief Justice Prasanna B. Varale.
The case, which was being heard in the court of Justice Natarajan, was transferred to the court of Justice M Nagaprasanna. The latter has now sent the case file to the high court registry to be listed before the Chief Justice to assign the case to a judge. The stay on the CBI investigation in the D K Shivakumar case will continue till then.
The CBI has sought vacation of the stay order. After the courts opened following the vacation, the case was taken up today and referred to the Chief Justice.
