Woman stabs advocate with knife for pursuing cheque bounce case against her on court premises

BENGALURU: A woman escaped stabbed an advocate with a knife for pursuing a cheque bounce case against her, on the magistrate court campus here on Friday.

The advocate was identified as Krishna Reddy and the accused is Kanchana. She had appeared in court in connection with the cheque bounce case on Friday.

Kanchana had borrowed Rs 5 lakh from one Harish and had not returned it despite making promises over the last three years. Harish lodged a complaint against Kanchana and hired Krishna Reddy as his lawyer.

On the day of the hearing, Kanchana attacked the advocate when he was coming towards the court, questioning him why he was pursuing case, and fled. The lawyer has now filed a complaint at Halasuru Gate police station.
