BENGALURU: The BJP on Monday released its third list of 10 candidates, but has withheld naming its candidates for Shimoga and Manvi constituencies. While all the 10 candidates are fresh faces, it does not seem to have been able to completely get rid of dynastic politics.
On the day Jagadish Shettar formally joined the Congress, the BJP has named Mahesh Tenginakai as its candidate from Hubli-Dharwad Central constituency.
In Bengaluru, the party has named Manjula Aravind Limbavali, wife of incumbent MLA Aravind Limbavali, Katta Jagadish, son of senior leader Katta Subramanya Naidu from Hebbal and Umesh Shetty from Govindaraj Nagar, which was represented by Housing Minister V Somanna. His son Arun Somanna has been denied the ticket from that constituency.
In Mysuru, senior leader S A Ramadass has been denied the ticket and Srivatsa has been picked as the candidate for Krishnaraja constituency. Among others, Sanjeev Aihole has been named for Nagathana (SC), Rajkumar Patil for Sedam, Manjula Amaresh for Koppal, Kalakappa Bandi for Ron and B Ramanna for Hagaribommanahalli (SC) constituencies.
