Rlys relents after activists protest over installing murals of Ambedkar, Shivaji

BELAGAVI: In a bizarre incident, some Dalits and Hindu groups created a ruckus on Sunday night over not allowing them to install murals of Dr B R Ambendkar and Chhatrapai Shivaji Maharaj at the renovated Belagavi railway station.

The protesters accusing the railways staff and said it was a insult the great personalities. There were many other great personalities installed in and outside the railway station except two of these murals and were kept in the warehouse of the railway department. The groups brought the two murals outside and the Hindu activists threatened the department that they are not allowed them to put up it in the outside, they will show black flags to Narendra Modi on his visit.

When the protest keep continued overnight, the railway department allowed the Hindu activists to put up murals in the railway station.
