Two children born in ambulances on the same day in Raichur district

RAICHUR: Two women gave birth to two children in separate ambulances in a single day in the district on Thursday.

The pregnant women, one from Kurukunda village in Sirwar taluk and another from Jambaldinni village in Devadurga taluk experienced labour pains while going to the hospital in the 108 ambulances and the staff conducted the delivery procedures in the ambulances itself. The women and their babies are safe after their deliveries.

Anif Begum, a resident of Kurukunda village in Sirwar taluk, gave birth to a baby boy while Sangeeta of Jambaladinni village gave birth to a baby girl. The family members thanked 108 ambulance staff members Nurse Lakshmi and Driver Yasin. In the last eight days, five deliveries have taken place in ambulances.
