BENGALURU: The city police are preparing to submit a chargesheet against 15 Popular Front of India (PFI) activists in connection with the KG Halli riot case in the city.
The KG Halli police have prepared a 5,000-page chargesheet. They are scrutinising it with the help of legal experts, and verifying documents, statements of the accused, witnesses, records of the local authorities, the CDR report, the collection of evidence and meetings held by the accused.
The chargesheet has been carefully prepared after discussing it with legal experts to secure appropriate punishment for the accused. The police had registered an FIR against a total of 19 people of whom they had arrested 15 PFI activists. During the investigation, they found out about the connection between a PFI activist and Praveen Nettaru’s murder case. The police are in the final phase of their investigation.
