MYSURU: An elderly woman was killed in a leopard attack at Kannayakanahalli village in T. Narasipur taluk on Friday. The deceased has been identified as Siddamma (60).
The woman had stepped outside the house to collect firewood when the leopard attacked her and tried to drag her. However, some villagers who witnessed the attack raised an alarm and the leopard ran away, but by then Siddamma had died.
The police and forest officials did not arrive at the spot even after hours of the incident. Locals claimed that this is the third incident of death due to leopard attack.
