Female dog goes missing, owner announces Rs 10,000 reward for finder

BENGALURU: A month after a female dog went missing in the city and a futile search for it, the pet owner has announced a Rs 10,000 reward for the finder.

On December 7, 2022, early in the morning, Arun and Dina Rodrigues’ pet dog Luka went missing after their watchman took her out for a morning walk. Since them, the pet owner has been looking for it and distributing posters and pamphlets to people and has also pasted in many places including Banasawadi, Indira Nagar, Jayamahal and Vasant Nagar seeking help to find it.

Neel, who has been helping Dina to find Luka for the past one-and-half months.

“We have lost a dog and if anyone has found it, please call the number mentioned in the poster. The dog went missing about a month ago when the watchman took it for a morning walk. We have announced a reward of Rs 10,000 for the finders and we will give more if someone is taking care of it”, said Neel, who has been helping the couple find their missing pet.

“Our dog’s name is Luka and she is a young dog, but bid in size. She is just 14 months old. She was out for a morning walk with our watchman when a two-wheeler came by and banged into her and she got scared and ran away. We are hoping to find her soon. Everyone, including my kids, is missing her badly. We have announced a reward of Rs 10,000 to the finders, but we will give more if someone is taking care of her. She is like our daughter”, said Dina, the dog owner.
