CHIKKAMAGALUR: A cab driver, who allegedly sexually assaulted a girl student, was tied to a pole and thrashed by villagers at Siddarahalli near Sakkarayapatna in Kadur taluk on Friday.
The driver Rajappa allegedly used to hang around near the government higher primary school from morning to evening. He repeatedly sexually assaulted a girl in the school toilet and in another room, according to the FIR.
A case has been registered against in under the POCSO Act at the Sakkarayapatna police station.
