DUMKA (Jharkhand): Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) MP Nishikant Dubey on Thursday alleged that opposition-led protests in India were part of a conspiracy to destabilise the country.
Addressing a press conference here, Dubey questioned Lok Sabha Leader of the Opposition Rahul Gandhi’s alleged links with US lawmakers Ilhan Omar and Ro Khanna, and raised concerns over foreign funding, cryptocurrency and online gambling.
#WATCH | Dumka, Jharkhand | BJP MP Nishikant Dubey says, “For the past 10–15 days, it was felt as though there were no rules or laws in place in Delhi. The LoP went out for lunch or dinner, and then proceeded to stage a sit-in protest somewhere. It was seen that people—some of whom may have never hoisted the Tiranga in their lives—were arriving at these sites carrying the national flag. The manner in which the Tiranga was used suggested a complete lack of respect or regard for its dignity. In the last 10 years, LoP Lok Sabha Rahul Gandhi travelled abroad 270 times. Now, after inciting the people and youth, Rahul Gandhi has now travelled to Vietnam. Why does he travel to Vietnam and abroad, and whom does he meet there? He regularly met Ilhan Omar and Ro Khanna in the US. Ilhan Omar is a public representative who went to Pakistan and said that Kashmir was a part of Pakistan. Now, the Trump administration is conducting raids on Ilhan Omar’s family. My question to Rahul Gandhi is: On whose instructions did he meet Ilhan Omar?”

Dubey claimed that foreign organisations and individuals were attempting to fuel protests to bring about a change of government in India. He alleged that the Congress leadership was working with foreign elements, although he did not present independently verified evidence to substantiate the claims.
“All these people — whoever is in the leadership of the Congress party, whoever the opposition is – are all working together with foreign powers to not change the regime, but to break the country,” Dubey said.
#WATCH | Dumka, Jharkhand | BJP MP Nishikant Dubey says, “The Leader of Opposition (Lok Sabha) is a person who has no faith in any institution or the Constitution. But BJP always respects all institutions. A case is ongoing in the Allahabad HC and the Supreme Court over the matter that Rahul Gandhi’s real name is Raul Vinci. It is a fact that his name is Raul Vinci…”

Questioning Rahul Gandhi’s overseas engagements, the BJP MP alleged that the Congress leader had met individuals who, according to him, were working against India’s interests. “I said in Parliament that under the guise of the Soros Foundation, he meets Ilhan Omar and Ro Khanna,” Dubey said, referring to the US lawmakers.
“My question to Congress is — Regarding Neville Roy Singham, the cartels involved in online gambling, artificial intelligence, and cryptocurrency—with which individuals from these circles has Rahul Gandhi met over the past five years? Which of these individuals have participated in his ‘Bharat Jodo Yatra’ or other such journeys? Moreover, whenever he travels abroad, with which of these elements does he meet, and what kind of plans do they devise to destabilise the country?” he added.

He also questioned whether Sam Pitroda had a role in what he described as alleged conspiracies to destabilise India, and asked whom Gandhi had met during his foreign visits and who had been associated with his Bharat Jodo Yatra.
Dubey further referred to US congressional documents that he claimed discussed foreign influence, protests and technology-related concerns. He linked the issue to cryptocurrency, artificial intelligence and online gambling, alleging that these areas could be exploited by foreign actors to influence political movements. “The future ahead is of artificial intelligence, to destroy the entire world’s economy there is cryptocurrency, and the third is online gambling,” he said, arguing that these issues required greater scrutiny.
#WATCH | Dumka, Jharkhand | BJP MP Nishikant Dubey says, “My direct allegation is that every time Rahul Gandhi travels abroad, he engages with the syndicates of Neville Roy Singham, Ilhan Omar, Ro Khanna, and the Soros Foundation. Based on these US Congress reports, it appears he has been “bought off” by the cryptocurrency, artificial intelligence, and online gambling lobbies. At their behest—and fueled by their incitement—he and various opposition parties mobilise the youth to push for regime change. They seek to fragment India once again—much like the partition carried out by Nehru. They aim to divide the nation and replicate the dire conditions seen in Nepal, Sri Lanka, or Pakistan—a goal that will not succeed, as the world has now awakened. These reports reveal that he maintains personal ties with these traitors.
The government will take appropriate action, but we will also go directly to the people. In politics and democracy, the public is paramount. We will ensure that the Congress party is reduced to a state of total irrelevance. When these documents are presented to the public, no leader from the Congress, the opposition, or those supporting the Congress will have the standing to show their faces to the people—and the public might well call them out for their disgrace.”

The BJP MP also defended the government’s approach to regulating online gambling and cryptocurrency, saying online gambling had been banned and cryptocurrency did not have legal tender status in India. He said the government had taken steps to address concerns surrounding these activities.
Dubey also targeted the ongoing protests in Delhi, criticising demonstrations at Jantar Mantar and alleging that protesters were disrupting public life. His remarks came after Delhi Police summoned Cockroach Janata Party leaders Saurav Das and Ashutosh Ranka following their release from judicial custody by a Special Executive Magistrate court, subject to undertakings to maintain peace and comply with the law.
#WATCH | Dumka, Jharkhand | BJP MP Nishikant Dubey says, “Modi ji’s government believes in democracy. In a democracy, there is only one path: the path of elections. We are not like Rahul Gandhi or his family, like Indira Gandhi, who imposed the Emergency. Why is Gyanesh Kumar being targeted? Let me state this again, here in the Santhal Pargana region: in 1951, the tribal population here was 45%. By 2011, that figure had dropped to just 26–27%. Meanwhile, the Muslim population was 7 percent; today, it stands at 24–25 percent. If a census were conducted today, the tribal population would almost certainly fall to 20–21 percent, while the Muslim population would reach 20 percent. Across the entire country, the Muslim population has increased by 4 percent, but here, it has risen by 22–23 percent. What is the reason for this? These are all Bangladeshi infiltrators. Gyanesh Kumar has given momentum to movements—such as those calling to “remove the Bangladeshis,” “drive out the Bangladeshis,” or “strike the names of Bangladeshis from the electoral rolls”—and the Opposition fears that all these Bangladeshi voters might be removed from the rolls. They see themselves losing the election, which is why they are opposing Gyanesh Kumar. They raise various issues—like NEET exam, unemployment, or inflation, anything that might incite or provoke the public. All these groups—the artificial intelligence lobby, the cryptocurrency lobby, and the online gambling lobby—are trying to achieve their goals by inciting others. In this context, the issue involving Gyanesh Kumar is relatively minor. However, when the election arrives, the stakes will be much higher. We will go to the public during this election and expose their conspiracy.”

The two leaders were detained in connection with an October 13 protest at Jantar Mantar, which had been denotified as a designated protest site. The court ordered their release after accepting personal and surety bonds and written undertakings.
Dubey also raised concerns over demographic changes in Jharkhand’s Santhal Pargana region, alleging that illegal immigration from Bangladesh had contributed to changes in population patterns. He said opposition to the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of electoral rolls was politically motivated.
The BJP MP maintained that elections, rather than protests, were the appropriate means of changing a government, saying his party would take its arguments to the public. (ANI)
