MYSURU: Chamundi Hills in the city is all set for the inauguration of the Naada Habba, Mysuru Dasara on Sunday. In the morning, the Dasara festival will be officially inaugurated on the grand stage constructed on the premises of the Chamundeshwari temple.

Grand preparations have been undertaken for the inaugural ceremony. The inauguration will be attended by the chief guest Sri Abhinava Gavisiddheshwara Swamiji, Chief Minister DK Shivakumar, ministers of various departments and many MLAs. The Dasara festival will be formally flagged off by offering flower worship to the utsava murthi of Goddess Chamundeshwari near the stage.

More than 100 religious leaders from across the state will participate in this year’s Dasara inauguration ceremony. For this, separate seating arrangements have been made, with separate seating arrangements for VVIP, VIP and public. Barricades have been put up near the stage and tight police bandobast has been arranged throughout the hill.

The inauguraton of the 416th Dasara celebratoin will be held from 11.50 am to 12.13 pm in tthe Dhanur Lagna at Chamundi Hills. The chief gues will be Sri Abhinava Gavisiddheshwara Swamiji and Chief Minister D K Shivakumar, Deputy CM Dr G Parameshwara among others will be present.
At 12.30 pm, the fruit and flower show will be inaugurated by CM D K Shivakumar at Kuppanna Park. The Aahara Mela will be inaugurated at 4 pm by Minister Rizwan Arshad at the Maharaja College Grounds. At 4 pm, the wrestling tournament will be inaugurated by CM DK Shivakumar at the Devaraja Urs Stadium. A Book Fair will be inaugurated by Minister Shivaraj Thangadagi At 4 pm at the Scouts and Guides Ground.

The chief minister will inaugurate the Dasara CM Cup sports meet at 4.30 pm. the Dasara cultural programme begins at 5 pm and the Sangeetha Vidwan award will also be presented by CM DK Shivakumar in front of palace. At 6.30 pm, the Dasara illumination will be inaugurated by Minister K J George at K R Circle while the CM will inaugurate the Dasara exhibition at 7 pm at the Exhibition grounds.
The private durbar in the palace will be held with the Simha Jodane of the golden throne from 6 am to 7.12 am.
The Kankanadharane will be held from 8.35 am to 9.05 am and the private durbar will begin with the Simhasanarohana between 11.45 am and 12.05 pm.
