BENGALURU: One person has died after an elephant attacked him while he was on morning walk behind R R Medical College near Kengeri in the city on Monday. The deceased was identified as Nagaraj of Anchepalya village. Despite treatment at a private hospital, he did not survive.
The incident occurred around 5 am and locals suspect that the elephant attacked Nagaraj with its trunk when while he had gone for a morning walk. At incident spot, two compounds have also collapsed, locals also have expressed doubt that incident happened only due to elephant attack.

In CCTV footage, the elephant can be seen running fast at 5.11 am. Further, a person who was jogging on same road, escaped the attack in just a few seconds. Following the incident, there is heightened anxiety among locals.
