DAVANAGERE: Cyber scamsters have transferred Rs 53,000 from the bank account of a teacher at Santebennur Vijaya High School in Channagiri taluk to two different accounts.
The money was transferred from the teacher’s State Bank of India account in two transcations — Rs 33,000 to the account of one Nirman Builders, and Rs 22,000 to the account of Mubarak Hussain through UPI transfer.
Both the recipients are unknown to the teacher. A complaint has been registered at the cyber crime police station regarding this incident and further investigation is under way.
