BENGALURU: In view of Thiru Onam festival on August 26, KSRTC has made arrangements for operating 90 extra buses to Keralam in addition to the existing services from August 21 to 25. Later, special buses will be operated from various places of Kerala to Bengaluru on August 30.
Special buses will be exclusively operated from Mysuru Road Bus Station, Bengaluru, and Shanthinagar Bus Station (BMTC) to Kannur, Kozhikode, Ernakulam, Palakkad, Thrissur, Kottayam, Thiruvananthapuram and other places in Keralam state. All premier Special buses will be operated from Shanthinagar Bus Station (BMTC), Shanthinagar, Bengaluru.
Computerized reservation ticket booking facility has been provided in advance for the special buses and reserved passengers are requested to note the place of boarding in their reservation ticket, a press release said.
Passengers can book tickets online by logging on to www.ksrtc.karnataka.gov.in. A discount of 5 per cent on the fare will be extended, if four or more passenger’s book tickets in a single ticket and a discount of 10 per cent is offered on the return journey ticket if onward and downward journey tickets are booked simultaneously.
Advance reservation tickets can be booked through the booking counters of KSRTC at important cities of neighbouring states like Tamil Nadu, Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, Kerala, Puduchery, Maharashtra and Goa.
The details of the special operations like place and timings of departure have been provided in the computerized advance reservation network and also in KSRTC website for the information of the traveling public.
