CHITRADURGA: A couple was killed on the spot after their SUV collided with a lorry near Kanive in Holalkere due to overspeeding and rash driving, while attempting to overtake a lorry. The deceased were identified as Lohit Prasad (34), owner of BVT Motors in Chitradurga, and his wife Nitya (28).
Due to the impact of the collision, the SUV was completely mangled. A case has been registered at Holalkere police station in this regard.
In another accident, two people died after a private bus crashed into a road divider near Konapura village in Molakalmuru taluk, The deceased include the bus driver Mohammed and one passenger died.
More than 20 people in the private bus were injured and were admitted to the Ranebennur government hospital.A case has been registered at Ranebennur police station.
