UDUPI: Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman on Saturday visited key religious centres in Udupi district and offered special prayers. She had darshan and sought blessings at Udupi Sri Krishna Math, Kaup Hosa Marigudi, and Uchila Sri Mahalakshmi Temple.
The minister visited Kadagolu Krishna at Udupi Sri Krishna Math, and also visited Sri Anantheshwara and Sri Chandramouleshwara temples. During the visit, she received blessings from Sri Vedavardhana Teertha of the Paryaya Shirur Math.
The minister, who participated in religious rituals at various temples in the district, held discussions with temple administration board members and BJP leaders. Nirmala Sitharaman’s spiritual journey, visiting religious centers before participating in the BJP district training camp, drew attention.
