BENGALURU: Following a complaint by ‘Kantara’ actress Rukmini Vasanth regarding AI-generated photos on social media, the police have cracked the whip and are taking action to trace those who posted obscene images on social media.

The CCB cyber crime police have written to service provider companies to provide information on IDs that shared the actress’s obscene AI photos. It has come to notice that the posts were made through dozens of IDs. Hence, letters have been sent to all service provider companies. Details of social media IDs are expected to reach CCB cyber crime police this week.

Preparations are under way to crack down on those who morphed and shared obscene photos. It is suspected that the AI photos were made viral by people from other states.

Earlier, miscreants had posted obscene comments about actress Ramya and Darshan’s wife Vijayalakshmi. Police had arrested all the miscreants and sent them to jail. In Rukmini Vasanth’s case too, police have cast a net to arrest the miscreants.
