HASSAN: A minor girl jumped off a motorcycle after a youth attempted to sexually assault her on the pretext of dropping her off at college, in the taluk. The accused has since been arrested.
Sagar, who is studying a graduate course and runs a pani puri stall, took the minor girl, who is an acquaintance, on his motorcycle on the pretext of dropping her off at college when he tried to sexually assault her. On the way back, he even threatened to kill her if she disclosed about the incident to anyone.
The minor girl jumped off the motorcycle and sustained injuries. The police have arrested Sagar and are on the lookout for two of his accomplices. A case has been registered at the women’s police station and further investigation is under way.
